Essex Housing 2022 Video

Essex Housing is Essex County Council’s award winning in-house developer. Our schemes make best use of publicly-owned land to provide new homes and community buildings, to improve local areas and fund vital public services. We are delivering good quality housing and community facilities across the county and have established a significant development programme working collaboratively with various partners.

As a public-sector developer, we put social value first and tailor each project to the needs of the area. Our unrivalled approach means that we can deliver great quality homes and shape fantastic places for people to live, all while providing a return to reinvest in further social value and improved outcomes for the residents of Essex.

No site is the same and that’s why we take a bespoke approach for every development, ensuring that our programme delivers a balance of private, affordable and specialist housing for some of our most vulnerable residents.

We are very proud to have had our hard work recognised formally in 2022 by being awarded “Best Development Team” at the Inside Housing Development Awards 2022 and “Homebuilder of the Year” at the UK Housing Awards 2022.

We also work on behalf of partners across Essex and beyond, where we provide end-to-end development services. We take an open approach with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring that we can work with them to meet their social, financial and strategic objectives.
