College Gardens

An exclusive collection of 14 architect designed 3 & 4 bedroom homes set in the historic market town of Rochford, Essex.

College Gardens is on the site of a former secondary school (1937) subsequently used as an Adult Community College.

The development regenerates and enhances a derelict public sector site with a focus on sustainability, high-quality design, exceptional build standards and finish, and collaboration with public sector partners.

Energy efficiency is also a key focus. Homes feature photovoltaic panels, designed to convert the sun’s energy into electricity, highly efficient thermal triple glazing to reduce heat loss and electric vehicle charging points.

The project consists of two phases of works. Phase one, which is now complete, consists of 14 homes for private sale. Phase two consists of a 60-unit independent living scheme for older people. Receipts from phase one have funded infrastructure and enabling works for phase two. This phase also includes parking and facilities for recreational use.
